Workshop Objective

The aim of the workshops is to provide practical preparation for security professionals and leaders, as well as management staff in organizations, facilities and businesses, for the implementation of new obligations resulting from the amendment to the Act on Crisis Management and the Act on Population Protection and Civil Defence.Specific Objectives

• To discuss the most important changes resulting from the amendments to the Acts on Crisis Management and Population Protection and Civil Defence, and their impact on administration, organizations and business.

• To present a roadmap for implementing the new regulations, including key deadlines and obligations for local government units, critical infrastructure operators and critical entities.

• To present good practices in building organizational resilience through the integration of physical, technical and personnel security, cybersecurity and business continuity.

• To prepare participants to fulfill new obligations related to risk assessment, planning, documentation, audits, and the protection of critical infrastructure and critical entities.

• To exchange experience, hold expert discussions and develop practical implementation recommendations.

The workshops are addressed in particular to:

• security professionals and leaders, representatives of critical infrastructure, future critical entities, as well as facilities subject to mandatory protection and special protection;

• persons responsible for security management in facilities not subject to mandatory protection, including offices, schools, universities, hospitals, shopping centers, industrial plants and enterprises;

• representatives of government and local administration responsible for crisis management, population protection and civil defence, and public security;

• management staff of enterprises, security leaders, BCM specialists, cybersecurity specialists, risk management and compliance professionals;

• representatives of the security and technical protection industry, designers, system integrators, auditors and security consultants;

• officers of services, inspections and guards, as well as academics and practitioners dealing with security issues.

The New Crisis Management System – How to Prepare Public Administration for the Implementation of New Regulations?

1. How will the crisis management system change after the amendment to the Act enters into force?

2. New planning documents, new competences and new obligations.Will the existing crisis management plans continue to be used, and how should we prepare for the new planning model?

3. How can a risk assessment be properly carried out in accordance with the new regulations, and how can its results be used in practice?
